Organized By:
Wind Engineering Institute of Korea(WEIK)
Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology
As a Regional Conference of IAWE
In Cooperation With:International Institute of Structural Engineering & Mechanics/Korea
Wind and Structures, An International Journal
The conference venue hotel has been changed from Seoul Hilton Hotel to Sheraton Walker Hill Hotel for which we could negotiate even better deals.
The Organizing Committee invited one additional keynote speaker. Professor Masaru Matsumoto of Kyoto University kindly accepted the invitation.
As of June 8, the Secretariat of the conference has received 150 full papers and as some more papers are coming, the eventual number is expected to be about 200~250.
At the Fifth Asia-Pacific Conference on Wind Engineering(APCWE V) held in Kyoto, Japan in 2001, the steering committee of Asia-Pacific Association for Wind Engineering decided to hold the APCWE VI in 2005 in Seoul, Korea. The APCWE conferences are held every 4 years in the Asia-Pacific region as the regional conference of International Association of Wind Engineering(Current President: Prof. Giovanni Solari). The chairman of APCWE VI cordially invites you to participate in this interesting event. The main objective of the conference is to exchange the scientific information in the area of Wind Engineering among the interested scientists and engineers not only from the Asia-Pacific region but also from all over the world
The conference will focus on the "Emerging Technologies in Wind Engineering" Topics will include (but not limited to) :
* Wind-Structure Interactions
* Wind Loads on Structural Systems
* Wind Tunnel Modeling
* Field Measurements
* Numerical Simulation of Wind Flows
* Wind Damage Assessment
* CFD for Wind Engineering
* CFD and Related Software
* Structural Behaviors under Wind Loads
* Wind Climate and Urban Wind Problems
* Bluff Body Aerodynamics
* Wind Energy
* Codification
* Wind-Induced Vibrations and Control
* Other Wind-Structure Related Topics
All
the interested authors are invited to submit one page abstracts to the Secretariat
of Conference by either the post or e-mail(apcwe@bomun.kaist.ac.kr). Abstracts should
include the full address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address(es)
of the author(s). For details of instructions to prepare the abstracts and full
papers.
Guidelines to Prepare The Abstracts Manuscript
Those interested in organizing a session at APCWE VI are invited to submit a request to organize a session to the Conference Secretariat.
